SAFETY & HEALTH PROTOCOL

The current situation due to COVID-19 means protocols have been established to ensure that the reopening of MICE travel does not increase the risk of community transmission. For this reason, governments across the globe have developed safety and health protocols for COVID-19 to prepare for the reopening as containment measures are relaxed. Standardized protocols, with requirements for each tourism subsector or activity, to help the trade identify and analyze risks in their organizations and implement best practices in their services, at their facilities and with their personnel in order to halt the virus. Our collection of DMCs has created and implemented their own protocols in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations published by the governments.

THIRD PARTY TRAVEL LIABILITY INSURANCE

The DMC must maintain comprehensive insurance sufficient to protect third party. General Liability must be from a reputable insurance company. It is important to note that not all countries have a law that demands DMCs to held a third party travel liability insurance and varieties may therefore apply.

FINANCIAL STABILITY

The DMC must provide a financial statement of operations. In addition, we collaborate on this with Creditsafe who provides an extensive international financial check to ensure you are dealing with a solvent DMC. This shall also constitute the basis for financial evaluations and approvals of the travel trade. Accredited DMCs are marked with a logotype.

In addition to the travel liability insurance, majority of the DMCs within the portfolio hold a bank guarantee. It is important to note that not all countries have a law that demands DMCs to held a bank guarantee and varieties may therefore apply.
