COUNTRY PRESENTATION

With its truly awe-inspiring snow-capped giants and delightfully charming people, beautiful Nepal is home to monasteries, yaks and eight of the world’s highest mountain peaks, including the worldrenowned Mount Everest. Coming to Nepal is coming to an experience that is only yours. From the remotest corners to the urban landscape, Nepal embodies a sensory experience of colours, sounds, sights and tastes.

This landlocked country is bordered by China and India, with the iconic Himalaya running across the northern and western part of the country. From the low jungle plains of Terai, home to the royal Bengal tiger and the greater one-horned rhino, the land begins to gently rise through hills chequered with fertile terraces, small villages and ancient cities.

It then steepens and merges into massive walls where trees cease to exist and snow and ice begin. Even higher, the ragged landscape culminates in Sagarmatha, Goddess Mother of the World, the gigantic Mount Everest.

Nepal is a land where deities mingle with mortals and strange legends follow yak caravans down from the mountain passes to become a part of the Hindu folklore.

WHY VISIT

Nestled within the Himalayas, separating India from Asia, this mountain kingdom is a treasure trove of history and culture – both ancient and modern. The capital, Kathmandu, is a warren of bazaars and by-lanes, not to mention, legend and lore.

Turn a corner and you’ll find yourself at the door of an erstwhile palace, in a square surrounded by temples, or standing at the threshold of an ancient monastery. Nepal is also the birthplace of the Buddha, and even today, an important centre for Buddhist belief and studies. It also has a vast heritage of fine art, and you’ll often find entire murals depicting legendary figures from another era. Nepal is also extremely festive and friendly. Don’t be surprised to find yourself swept off your feet by local traditions. Nepal offers the ultimate mountain country. Go for gold and head out on the high-octane paths to Everest or take a slower pace to explore the Himalayas and its breathtaking scenery.

Whether it is a tailor-made itinerary, a special interest group, business travel, accommodation, airline booking or planning experiences we take change of it end to end to infuse your trip with a unique sense of adventure and unforgettable individuality. We believe we are a part of travel that changes lives. Our green policies of reduced carbon footprint & no use of single plastic, besides our giving back to the community initiative is an honest endeavour to make a small difference. Our practices have already incorporated the usual - no plastic, waste free, reducing carbon footprints etc into our programs but are now more focused toward the societal and economic aspect of supporting the communities and certain less fortunate and privileged segments and wildlife organisations.

WHEN TO VISIT

Nepal’s climate widely varies; from the Terai zone’s tropical savannah to the blistery snow-capped mountains. However, being easily identified means Nepal’s weather patterns can be usefully divided into the four seasons. A definite spring, summer, autumn and winter makes holiday planning a lot easier when there are only a few minor blurry transitions.

Beginning with spring (March - May); its comfortable temperatures (averaging 22°C), blooming shades of pink coating the country’s heartlands and freshly cut back national parks, make this time of year a joy to visit Nepal.

Summer (June - August) is Nepal’s monsoon season, when the rain clouds travelling from India sweep across the country’s foothills and valleys, colliding with the cooler air from the Himalayas.

Autumn (September - November) is widely acknowledged to be the best time to visit Nepal. For the autumnal clear, bright skies that break from the summer monsoon, make visibility exceptionally reliable and in favour for several reasons.

Winter (late November - February) is still rain-free but the nights begin to get colder and a warm fleece for the evenings is required. Popular visits to Kathmandu valley can hover as low as 3°C, whereas high up in the mountains in December, a drop to -10°C is not uncommon - not ideal temperatures if climbing to Everest Base Camp.

HOW TO GET THERE

The main Nepal airport is in Kathmandu (the main point of connection with Europe, usually via India or the Middle East). There is no railway system to speak of, so the only other way of getting around is by car, jeep or helicopter.
