It’s been a deeply trying, crazy and unexpected first half of 2020.⠀⠀

So many challenges we’ve all faced and so many sad stories that we’ll be featuring both from our private lives and in our professional one where contracts have been paused, dreams have been broken, cancellations, postponements and prospective projects delay and slip away for entrepreneurs and businesses in our amazing industry we are blessed to work in.⠀

But it’s also been a great reminder of why The Travel Collection together with many of you started in the first place. We wanted to create a portfolio of like minded people who are passionate about what they’re doing and share the same life philosophy. We also wanted to get involved in projects that we found inspiring, and with people that make the world a more fulfilling and fun place to be. All this, provides now stability in a deeply uncertain time. Some days feels impossible and givs us immense perspective on what our business means to us. For the kindness, support and loyalty over the years and during this difficult time we’ve been shown by great clients, partners and friends, we’re forever grateful.

As destinations now begin to resume, we have in the past couple of weeks, seen signs of a recovery, particularly in markets that are a bit ahead. That’s quite encouraging to us and while we have no illusions about travel coming back immediately, it’s clear to us that people and organizations have been longing to experience new places and have made plans while they’ve been stuck at home. And we strongly believe that most missed, and thus the most sought after commodity, is travel and an authentic human experience that gives hope to our beloved MICE market that we don’t believe will ever be replaced by virtual meetings but act as a compliment. Therefore, we hope that this image of a FAM trip in Serbia, spent at a food market in a charming village in rural Vojvodina will give you mental strength and inspiration of what is waiting for us.⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
